How God Intervened In Spite of Our Sins

How God Intervened In Spite of Our Sins

Many of us wonder how God performs miracles.

I believe that God can do supernatural things as He is omnipotent, but He can also intervene in our natural processes at His perfect timing.

Isiah 60:22 - When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.

Now, many of us believers and non-believers alike sometimes wish God would just show us amazing miracles play out right before our eyes. We sometimes test God if He does this at this time that we will either believe in His existence or go to church more regularly. However, God is probably baffled as ever because He shows miracles everyday. If you study Biology a little bit, you will know that all of the cellular processes that occur within our 36 trillion cells are meticulously structured and follow a rigid pathway. Let's take for example the basic concepts of DNA replication, transcription and translation. DNA replication, which is a necessary process prior to cell division, is a sophisticated process whereby a whole system of proteins works synergistically to ensure our very own DNA is conserved precisely within the daughter cells produced. I can babble on about the complicated biological processes like these, but the point is that all of these have to be working in coordination every second of our lives for us to live. If this isn't a miracle, I don't know what is. So it is no exaggeration when our parents or grandparents tell us that we should be grateful for every breath we take.

Onto God's intervention, we can see that God is perfectly capable of intervening in our lives when we see Jeremiah 18:5-12. God says that He is the potter and we are the clay, and He can choose to destroy us if we love and follow the evil ways but He can also choose not to if we repent for our sins and walk the righteous path of God. I mean if you think about it, this is quite obvious because Christians know that all of humanity was pretty much headed towards Hell because of all our sins. The ultimate judge would have been God, and He had all the evidence against us to rule in favour of sending us to Hell. But He INTERVENED in our fate by sending us His only Son, Jesus Christ to pay for our punishments and cleansed us of our sins - this is a miracle by way of intervening in our fate. Thus, the least we can do in our limited time here on earth is to repent and follow the ways of God and live for Him in order to join Him in the kingdom of heaven. I certainly don't want to waste my second chance just to pursue after my own selfish desires and pleasures.

The point is that miracles are happening everyday, but we are just not aware of it. Instead of asking God to show us miracles, let us open our eyes, hearts, and mind to see the miracles that are happening all around us.
