How God Intervened In Spite of Our Sins
Many of us wonder just exactly how God performs miracles.
I believe that he does so supernaturally and by intervening in the natural processes including our lives at his will.
Isiah 60:22 - When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.
Now, believers and non-believers alike often wish God would just outright show us miracles before our eyes. At times, we test God by bargaining with him to do something for us in order for us to believe him and go to church. But soon I realized that we defined "miracles" in our own way and that miracles actually happen daily. If you had studied biology, you will know that all of the cellular processes that occur in our ~40 trillion cells happen timely and systematically, without which we will instantly die. For instance, DNA replication, transcription and translation operate under a sophisticated system where any inconsistencies can significantly affect our body. DNA replication, a necessary process prior to cell division, is a process by which a group of proteins works together to ensure our genetic information is contained within every cell in our body. This genetic information is what allows for proper function of our cells. The fact that this vital process is happening every day without failure is a miracle.
Moving onto God's intervention in the natural processes, God is perfectly capable of intervening in our lives. When we see Jeremiah 18:5-12, God says that He is the potter and we are the clay, and He can choose to destroy us if we follow our evil ways (blaspheme against the Holy Spirit) or bring us salvation if we repent of our sins and walk the righteous path of God. Being the ultimate judge as God, He had all the evidence to rule in favour of our deserved eternal damnation, but He chose to INTERVENE by sending His only Son, Jesus Christ to pay for our sins - this is a miracle in the natural processes as God came to save us in human form.
When we bargain with God for miracles, perhaps he is telling us to open our eyes as they are already happening before our eyes on a daily basis.
