As my tutor sessions with YJ came to an end in April of 2024 (start date ~November of 2023), I had a mom reach out to me about tutoring her daughter English. She asked me to run class five times a week, 2 hours each session (total 10 hrs/week). Now, around this time, I had been worried about how I will sustain myself as YJ had been my main source of income to pay off a few of my significant debts. And she had been the rare student who wanted class with me 3-4 times a week (3 hour sessions) and I had thought it wouldn't be possible to find another student with a similar need. But, in the same month (April 2024), God has provided a new student (HJ) who wanted even more classes than YJ.
The verse popped up in my head at that time: Isiah 60:22, “I, the Lord, will make it happen at the right time.” This was God’s divine intervention and because of this provision, I was able to pay off the $2k of monthly LOC interest and mortgage. HJ immediately began sessions with me and soon I realized she may need even more sessions later on.
Just for my record, we began sessions in April 2024 and are still ongoing (today is July 31st, 2024), doing 10 hrs a week without missing any sessions.
God does not leave his children unfed, unclothed and abandoned. I had known this in my head but I had now come to believe it in my heart after this experience. This wasn't a coincidence, but it was God's divine intervention.
Proverbs 3:5 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
I thank you, Lord for supplying me with just what I need. If another storm comes, I know not to panic because you will be there in the storm with me.
